“What is the Tribal Ministry?”
One may ask the question “what are the Twelve Tribes of Israel?” And the answer is found in several locations in the Bible: Genesis 35:23-26; Exodus 1:2-5; Numbers 1:20-43; 1Chronicles 2:2; Revelation 7:5-8). The twelve sons of Israel (Jacob) were Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issacher, Zebulun, Benjamin, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, and Joseph. These were the ancestors of the original twelve tribes.
MISSION
Our Shepherd, Pastor Orlester Johnson and his wife, Prophetess Joann Johnson are directed by the Holy Spirit to make sure that the “total needs”, of the members of the Greater Faith Tabernacle Ministries along with their family members needs are met. The mission of the Tribal Ministries is the same as the mission of GFT which is to bring light and empowerment to a dark world by meeting the needs of the total person of GFT’s members and their families, financially, mentally, physically and spiritually. As we continue to grow rapidly and as the Holy Spirit continues to move quickly, He is equipping us to move forward in the fight towards winning souls for Christ and fighting the good fight of faith.
TRIBAL MINISTRY PROTOCAL
The church is divided into the Twelve Tribes of Israel. We will implement the ministry in alphabetical order according to the first letter of your last name. Your Tribal Leader will contact you according to the first letter of your last name. This is how we (GFT) will be made aware of your family’s circumstances such as marriage, new birth, death of family member, illness, transportation issues, promotions, graduation, etc. WE AT GFT CARE ABOUT YOU AND YOUR FAMILY GREATLY AND WE WANT YOU TO KNOW YOU ARE IMPORTANT TO US. Being a member of a tribe helps members to be acquainted with others and to share in fellowship with one another.
FELLOWSHIP AND FUN
Your Tribal Leader will contact you weekly with your concerns and to plan activities with you and other members of your tribe. There may be bowling, pot’ blessing, dinners, fellowship and fun which will be planned by you and your Tribe Leader.
